Welcome from the Chair

Dear All,

I warmly welcome you to the website of the country code Names Supporting Organization!

The ccNSO is a Global Platform within ICANN, created for and by ccTLDs. Our main goal is to provide spaces for collaboration where ccTLDs can discuss relevant topics, share their experiences, and guide the course of the organization within the ICANN environment.

Various working groups and committees contribute to the work of the ccNSO, and their duties range from overseeing ICANN and PTI's strategic and operational planning and budgetary processes, documenting ccNSO's current practices, refining operational procedures and methodologies, coordinating and managing the high-level schedule of the ccNSO-related sessions, reaching out to newcomers and involving additional ccTLD representatives, to developing policy and much more.

The ccNSO Council consists of 18 Councillors from all over the globe. The ccNSO Council leadership team is composed of two Vice Chairs, Adebiyi Oladipo (.ng) and Jordan Carter (.au), and me as Chair. The Council oversees the outreach and engagement-related aspects. It keeps track of the various priorities, workflows, and the role of the ccNSO as Decisional Participant within ICANN.

The ccNSO Council values all the efforts invested within the ccNSO, firstly because they come from our own ccTLD community and secondly because they are voluntary. Therefore it is essential that ccTLDs participate actively and get on board as quickly as possible to maintain continuity in our activities.

I take this opportunity to thank my fellow Councillors and all volunteers of the different ccNSO committees and working groups, as well as all our liaisons and representatives in external positions throughout ICANN, for their outstanding contributions to the work of the ccNSO.
