Council Members
The ccNSO Council is made up of:
- 15 Selected Councillors:
Three (3) representatives from each of the five (5) ICANN geographic regions (Africa, Asia/Australia/Pacific, Europe, Latin America/The Caribbean, North America), selected by ccNSO members from those regions. - 3 Appointed Councillors:
Three (3) members appointed by the ICANN Nominating Committee (NomCom), bringing external perspectives.
- Non-voting Liaisons and observers from:
- the GNSO Council
- the At-Large Advisory Committee

Councillors are selected in their own capacity and do not represent the views of their respective organizations.
Each Councillor serves a three-year term. Every year, six new Councillors are selected - five selected by the ccNSO members (one from each region) and one appointed by the Nominating Committee.
Annually, the Council elects a Chair and Vice-Chairs from among its members. Councillors also participate in various Council Committees and Working Groups.
