Undergraduate student wins NVIDIA Agents for Impact Hackathon

Preet Karia, a second-year robotics and computer science engineering student (pictured left) claimed first place at the NVIDIA GTC 2026 Agents for Impact Hackathon for creating an AI-powered tool called Loomin that turns physics notes into 3D visualizations. 

Reimagined undergrad class teaches students the entire DNA sequencing process using cutting-edge devices

For almost every student, it’s their first time carrying out the DNA sequencing process in action, building valuable skills for their careers. Their results are published online, contributing to real-world data that can help scientists better understand biodiversity in the local environment.
