Media Licensing

The Edison Tech Center has unique photo and video content which has been licensed to magazines and television productions in North America and Europe. Our content has been used by such organizations as National Geographic, History Channel, Forbes Magazine and more. Below are 2025 prices.

Delivery Fee + Usage in Publication Fee = total cost

Delivery Fees:

Previously Digitized Image – $25/Image
New Digitization for Images – $25/Image + research time for location, retrieval, and scan
Previously Digitized Film/Video – $50/Video
Document Scanning – $20 Base Free + $0.25/Page

*The resolution of still images vary from 300 to 6000 pixels wide so please ask about your resolution needs to meet your criteria

Usage in Publican Fees:

Film/Video – $25/Second
Digital still Image (Commercial Broadcasting Use) – $100/Image
Digital still Image (Scholarly Use) – No Additional Fee

Research Time: (Used to digitize videotapes or scan printed photos not yet in our system)

Standard – response within 4 weeks – $60/hr
Weekly – response within 5 business days – $120/hr

PERMISSION REQUIRED IN FOR-PROFIT OPERATIONS: Making money from ads on your content, or selling content with Edison Tech Center media in it is prohibited without a license.

NO LICENSE REQUIRED FOR YOUTUBE EMBEDS or LIVE EVENTS: Feel free to embed our YouTube videos in your website using YouTube's code for that purpose. If you are showing an Edison Tech Center video on YouTube at a public event no permission is required. If you want it to display in areas with no internet, use YouTube Premium to download the video so it will show without internet service.

FAIR USE: Teachers and professors can use Edison Tech Center content in lessons done in-person at non-profit institutions. The Edison Tech Center should be attributed.
