ITU-T Study Group 11 would like to inform ITU-T SG15, IETF SPRING and IETF SRv6Ops that the new work item Q.SRv6-DPTM "Data plane test methods for devices supporting Segment Routing over IPv6" was agreed to be initiated during the ITU-T SG11 meeting (Geneva, 3-11 March 2026). This draft new Recommendation provides a structured set of functional test methods for devices supporting SRv6, with the objective of verifying whether various behaviors of devices supporting SRv6 reach the expected SRv6 functional requirements under given test condition. It mainly covers the following aspects: an overview of SRv6 data plane test, test methods for SRv6 endpoint behaviors, test methods for SRv6 policy-related behaviors, and test methods for the forwarding behaviors of services carried over SRv6. ITU-T SG11 would like to thank IETF SPRING, IETF SRv6Ops, ITU-T SG15 for your attention and looks forward to future cooperation on this topic. |
